1. Polite recent-life check-in

• 오랜만이에요 = long time no see.

• 요즘 = these days/lately.

• 어때요? = how is it?

2. Safe weather opener

• -네요 adds a soft “I notice…” tone.

• 산책하다 = to take a walk.

• 딱 좋다 = to be just right/perfect.

3. Light answer + return question

• 그냥 = just.

• 평범하게 지내다 = to get by normally.

• -는요? returns the question: “How about…?”

• 근황을 물어보다 = to ask how someone has been

• 날씨가 좋다/맑다/춥다/덥다 = the weather is nice/clear/cold/hot

• 인사를 하다 = to greet

• 인사를 나누다 = to exchange greetings

• 평범하게 지내다 = to get by normally

• 가볍게 이야기하다 = to talk casually

• 가볍게 물어보다 = to ask lightly/casually
