🧭 Speaking Tip

Korean cafes almost always ask two questions: 사이즈는요? [sa-i-jeu-neun-yo?] (What size?) and 드시고 가세요, 가져가세요? [deu-si-go ga-se-yo, ga-jyeo-ga-se-yo?] (For here or to go?). Have your answers ready before you reach the counter — it'll make your whole order flow smoothly! ☕

⚠️ Pitfalls to Dodge

❌ Assuming "tall" is always the smallest size everywhere → ✅ Sizes and names vary by cafe chain — check the menu board first.
❌ Forgetting to answer "for here or to go" → ✅ Have 드시고 갈게요 or 가지고 갈게요 ready — staff will ask almost every time.
❌ Saying 아이스 when you mean general "cold" (e.g., cold water) → ✅ 아이스 attaches to drink names (아이스 아메리카노); use 차가운 거 for "the cold one" generally.
