🌈 The Big Picture

말할 것도 없고 literally means “there is not even anything to say.” The feeling is: A is so obvious that we do not even need to mention it — and B is true too.
 
This pattern is useful for praise, complaints, reviews, recommendations, and arguments. It makes your sentence sound more polished than a plain “A and B.”

1. Noun + 은/는 말할 것도 없고

Use this when the first obvious item is a noun.
  • 가격 (price) → 가격은 말할 것도 없고 (not to mention the price)
  • 서비스 (service) → 서비스는 말할 것도 없고 (not to mention the service)
  • 문법 (grammar) → 문법은 말할 것도 없고 (not to mention grammar)

Choose 은 after a consonant-ending noun and 는 after a vowel-ending noun.
 

2. Action or state idea + -기는 말할 것도 없고

Use -기 when the first obvious item is an action, skill, or state idea.
  • 읽다 (to read) → 읽기는 말할 것도 없고 (not to mention reading)
  • 말하다 (to speak) → 말하기는 말할 것도 없고 (not to mention speaking)
  • 복잡하다 (to be complicated) → 복잡하기는 말할 것도 없고 (not to mention being complicated)
 

3. The second part often uses 도, 까지, or 조차

The second half usually marks the added point.
  • 도 (also / too): 품질도 좋아요 (the quality is good too)
  • 까지 (even / up to): 배송비까지 비싸요 (even the delivery fee is expensive)
  • 조차 (even, strong emphasis): 기본 설명조차 없어요 (there is not even a basic explanation)
