⚠️ Pitfalls to Dodge

• ❌ 뉴스에 따라 내일 비가 온다고 합니다. → ✅ 뉴스에 따르면 내일 비가 온다고 합니다. for reporting a source.

• ❌ 상황을 따라 계획이 바뀌어요. → ✅ 상황에 따라 계획이 바뀌어요.. This pattern uses 에, not 을/를.

• ❌ 사람에 따라서가 달라요. → ✅ 사람에 따라 달라요. or 사람에 따라서 달라요..

• ❌ Treating sentence-starting 따라서 as the same as N에 따라서 → ✅ 따라서 alone can mean therefore, but N에 따라서 means depending on / according to N.

• ❌ Using it for direct physical following: 친구에 따라 갔어요 → ✅ 친구를 따라 갔어요 means “I followed my friend.” Different structure.
