심심하다 ("bored") describes you having nothing to do — 오늘 너무 심심해요 ("I'm so bored today"). 재미있다/재미없다 ("fun/not fun") describe whether something (a show, activity, person) is entertaining. 지루하다 ("tedious/dull") is similar to 재미없다 but emphasizes the activity dragging on too long. 🥱

시간 가는 줄 몰랐어요 ("I didn't notice time passing") is a fantastic, natural way to say something was so engaging you lost track of time — much more vivid than just saying 재미있었어요. 🥱

⚠️ Pitfalls to Dodge

❌ Confusing 재미없어요 (it's not fun) with 심심해요 (I'm bored) → ✅ 재미없어요 describes the thing; 심심해요 describes your own state.

❌ Using 지루해요 for something mildly uninteresting → ✅ 지루하다 implies dragging on/tediousness, often paired with length: 너무 길어서 지루해요.

❌ Saying 흥미있어요 instead of 흥미로워요 → ✅ 흥미롭다 conjugates to 흥미로워요 (ㅂ-irregular).

❌ Forgetting that 재미있다/없다 conjugate with -어요 not -아요 → ✅ 재미있어요 / 재미없어요 (있다/없다 always take -어요).
